I know must of you have probably heard of the indoor skiing resort in Dubai, well this is it. It’s in the mall of the emirates, and costs about 60 bucks for a lift ticket. The slope continues up and to the left from this picture, if you look at the mall from the outside it has a huge tube sticking diagnally out the top which is the rest of the slope.

TO BEGIN WITH: I LIKED THE GALLERY’S NAME! I DEFINETLY WILL STOP BY NEXT TIME I AM IN DUBAI. A strong bveeeilr in the value of art that expresses one’s own culture and background and does not just become a poor reflection of others: it is time that we in the Middle East wake up to the fact that we are bearers of a rich and meaningful heritage. For the past 200 years our cultural horizon has been fashioned by the West it is high time that we wake up to our ability to bring something new yet authentic to the art scene. Art is universal, yet while appreciating the expression of it by all, we must be honest and not become mirror images of others’ creations. Mouna Bassili Sehnaoui
